Angelyssa and Scarlett make sure they cut the pieces into equal shares.
This week the children have been playing various games to develop their ability to identify and name the fraction of an object.
They are learning to match the symbol (eg. 1/2) with the word (eg. half) and the model (eg. a piece of play dough cut in half). This week our focus has been on 1/2, 1/4 and 1/3.
